1. Anti-climb

2. Anti-penetrative

Securemax® 358 is notoriously difficult to penetrate.  And that’s what high-security fences need to be – they must be able to stand up to any pressure or force applied from either side of the fence.  Anybody trying to cut through the mesh using regular hand tools would have a very difficult time. Not to mention would likely be intercepted by guards long before they had successfully done it!

In the case of correctional facilities, the threat posed by members of the wider community must be addressed.  This threat can come in the form of people approaching the perimeter fencing from the outside and attempting to penetrate it or trying to smuggle contraband (maybe in the form of phones or drugs) into the facility.  Using a strong and robust fencing material will help control threats on both sides of the fence.  Many facilities choose to erect a series of boundary fences – a perimeter one, then others inside that, which will reduce the risk of contraband being thrown over the top of the fence to people inside.
